Central for SRETSIS
Sretsis brand was founded in 2002 by three sisters, Pimdao ("Pim"), Klaiduen ("Kly"), and Matina, from the Sukhahuta family.
The name "Sretsis" is derived from the word "Sisters," written in reverse.
Pimdao, a Parsons School of Design, New York, graduate, is the head designer, and focuses on styles with whimsical prints and nostalgic details with a modern day attitude.
Klaiduen, a New York University graduate, markets the brand.
And Matina adds her expertise in jewelry design and ornamentation for each clothing collection.
The first Sretsis collection, "Dreamland Circus Collection," was inspired by circus photographs, from the 1920's taken by Edward J. Kelley.
"Heart Collection," the Spring/Summer 2004 collection, was launched with a fashion show at ELLE Bangkok Fashion Week 2003.
The "Faerie Collection", or "The Blue Faerie Tells No Lies," for Spring/Summer 2005, is showcased at this year's ELLE Bangkok Fashion Week 2004 extravaganza.
It features Art Nouveau-inspired prints of faeries, flowers, and mushrooms on delicate chiffon and charmeuse.
Central Department Store has chosen to sponsor and continuously support the Sretsis brand.
Central believes Sretsis shows the potential and innovation to become a world-class brand.
By supporting Sretsis, Central has offered a venue for new designers, and continues the drive to make Bangkok a design center on par with the fashion houses of New York, London, Paris, and Milano.
Sretsis is available at: Central Chitlom, Bangkok; Central Festival, Phuket; Gaysorn, Bangkok; and Emporium, Bangkok.
